1 am directed to confirm my telegram of
the 14th. instant in which I requested you to appoint a succes- sor to Mr. Tett, Clerk of Works, as soon as possible.
2.
Mr. Tett has been called upon to refund the amount paid for his passage to the Colony, inasmuch as he
has resigned his appointment without being compelled to do so by
reason of iil-health, and is therefore liable for the amount
mentioned, under clause 7 of his Agreement.
8.
1 regret to say that Mr. Tett has not
given satisfaction in the performance of his work.
